Shibari photo-shoots are a fun way to spice up the experience of capturing memories, bring an artistic concept to life or create an experience itself worthy of being captured.

Whether you want something neat and minimalistic, soft and cozy, chaotic and creative or intense and spicy, with me on the ropes anything is possible.

All you need is curiosity and I’ll handle the rest.

I wanted to a styled Shibari shoot as part of my healing process. I had a lot of PTSD and past trauma around being physically restrained and sexual abuse. I contacted cinnamon after carefully going through her page and explained my idea and my history.

I was reassured constantly leading up to the shoot and I was given space to ask questions and express any fears.

On the day I couldn’t have felt more at ease. The knowledge Cinnamon had about the safety aspects, and the patience she had to explain was incredible. Having discussed my history she was amazingly gentle with me, checking in all the time that I was ok and feeling ok.

This woman picked up on the subtlest of cues, she noticed when my breathing changed, the way I was holding my body, any tension that shouldn’t have been there, and she looked after me so well. She knew before I did, that I had reached my limit in a tie and was already adjusting and releasing before I’d even clocked it.

To be honest I had never felt so safe, so cared for, and so seen. The aftercare as well was amazing, she checked in on me, and answered so many questions for me

I highly recommend using cinnamon for shibari shoots, she gets it, but more importantly she gets people and all the multifaceted layers that make us up. Plus she has an eye for aesthetics which helps so much during the shoot with styling etc.

Do I need to have experience being in rope?

No you don’t have to have had prior experience with rope to book a rope shoot. The style and type of rope we pick will differ based on your level of past experience, but there’s definitely options for everyone regardless of experience.

Do I need to have experience as a model to book a shoot?

Nope, no experience being in front of the camera is required! These photos are for you or your loved one first and foremost. With direction from both myself and the photographer you’ll have guidance every step of the way if you’re wanting guidance in front of the lens.
