Structured Learning — Shibari Archetypes & Intentions

A private, personalised learning pathway with one-on-one guidance for all experience levels.

This offering is built around the two core pillars of shibari: the intention behind your tying, and the archetypal structures of shibari — the foundational body positions and harnesses used to create different effects.

Together, these form the foundation of any tie. Understanding them supports you in tying with confidence, remembering and building ties with greater clarity, adapting harnesses for any person and situation, and shaping the mood, energy and experience of a tie more intentionally.

Designed as a mentorship rather than a fixed curriculum — I’ll create a learning pathway based on your experience, goals and the kind of rope you want to develop, covered in private sessions in person or online (depending on content). This allows for focused progression, attentive guidance and deeper refinement of your personal style with more efficiency than group learning.

Focus Session

Focus Sessions are individual sessions centred around an area of rope you want to learn or improve in. Whether that’s learning to tie harnesses, foundational knots, upskilling techniques or the connective elements of tying, these sessions allow us to dive deeper into the practical and theoretical areas you want, in 2–4 hour blocks.

Additionally, if you have a tie you’re trying to fine-tune, a creative project incorporating rope, or you’re seeking accommodation options for a specific model or health condition, these sessions can be held as a consultation rather than a practical tying session.
